Debi Jane Shelton Obituary (1954 - 2018)

Debi Hensley Shelton, 64, of Greeneville died on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the home of her daughter. She was a 1972 graduate of Daniel Boone High School in Washington County, TN. During her life she was primarily employed in the retail industry until her illness prevented her from working. She enjoyed researching family history, reading, spending time with her family and vacations to Gatlinburg and the beach. She was especially proud of her Scottish heritage and over the years attended many area Celtic festivals with her daughters. She is survived by her husband, Robert Shelton of Greeneville; 2 daughter and a son in law, Regan and Martijn Kleinendorst of Greeneville, and Kelly Shelton of Greeneville; granddaughter, Willow Kleinendorst; mother in law, Berta Vee Shelton of Greeneville; a special aunt and uncle, Delores and Douglas Hammitt of Johnson City; brothers in law and their spouses, , Gary and Debbie Shelton, Jim and Tonya Shelton, Tim and Barbara Shelton, all of Greeneville; sister in law and spouse, Beverly and Terry "Boscoe" Reaves of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, B.L. and Hilda Hatley Hensley; father in law, Leonard "Moose" Shelton. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Caris Hospice for their support. At her request, she is to be cremated and buried at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens, with her husband, with no formal visitation or funeral service.
