Evelyn Mary Cooter Obituary (1922 - 2014)

Evelyn Mary Cooter, originally of Northwich, England, age 92, passed away Saturday, December 13th at her home in Baileyton. She is survived by son Norm Cooter, daughter Barbara C. Hensley of Chuckey, three beloved grandchildren; Jeff L. Hensley and Kim of Chuckey, Doctor Amy Cooter Faeder and husband Dustin of Nashville and Seth Cooter of Greeneville, a beloved great- grandson Jeff L. Hensley, Jr., of Chuckey, a beloved sister-in-law Mamie Cooter of Oak Ridge, three nieces; Christine Mahoney of Chattanooga, Alice Stamey and Iva Pierfelice and families of Florida and several nieces and families of the Kingsport area, two nieces and families of Canada, a beloved nephew and family of England, a great niece and family of Scotland, and very special friends Edna Waddell, Pat Fornash, Jane Ann Pierce, Ruth Britton, Eileen McAmis, Lougene Loftis, Betty McNeese, Warren Pierce, Michelle Proffitt, Judy Greenlee, Lucille Pierce. Kate Judson and former son-in-law Carroll Hensley, Pastor Bill Rimmer and her church family whom she loved dearly and her hospice family. Her husband, Newman R. Cooter, preceded her in death in October of 1970. Per her request there was no formal visitation and her body was cremated and shall be laid to rest at a graveside service December 23 at 4:00 PM at Zion Cemetery in Baileyton. Pastors Pastor Bill Rimmer, Wade McAmis and Nathan Reynolds will officiate. In lieu of flowers her request was for friends and loved ones to send monetary donations to the youth group of Baileyton United Methodist Church at: Baileyton UM Youth Fund in care of: Amelia Bailey, treasurer, 1605 Baileyton Main Street, Greeneville, TN 37745.
