Hunter Marshall "Honeybee" Motz Obituary (2008 - 2016)

Hunter Marshall "Honeybee" Motz, 12, of Greeneville, passed away as a result of complications from surgery, at East Tennessee Children's Hospital, on April 20, 2016. Hunter was born with the rare syndrome, 1P36 Deletion Syndrome. He was a member of a nationwide support group. He got a large amount of support from that group. His face was like a sunflower, and brought light to everyone who met him. He was an avid Kyle Bush fan, and enjoyed going to Nascar races. He belonged to the Clan Keith Society, and loved attending Scottish Festivals. He is survived by his mother, Vicie Motz; one brother, Trevor Motz; one sister, Kyley Motz; one biological brother, Cooper Bloechl, of Florida; two biological sisters, Kathryn Buttles and Kaitlyn Stokes, of Florida; his Elk Valley Healthcare Services family; his brothers and sisters in 1P36; special friends, Wendy Winiecki, Jim and Judy Barbour, of Texas, Skip Davis Wilhoit, Stephen Wilhoit, and Bill Green; special running buddy, Christie Waschkowski; aunt and uncle, Allen and Sandy Broyles; cousins, Kelly and Tim Cutshaw, Kaylah and Braden Cutshaw, Eric and Tonya Broyles, Kase Broyles. He is preceded in death by his sister, Angel Motz; brother, Tyler Motz; grandmother, Mary Mays; father, Ron Motz. The family will receive friends, Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 4-7pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2pm at Jeffers Downtown Chapel, with Rev Bill Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Hardin's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are his caregivers, Barby Haywood, Carmen Cox, Ken Sheets, and Jamie Ricker.
