Lynda F Bird Cox Obituary (1947 - 2015)

Lynda F. Bird Cox, 68, of Tusculum, passed away Wednesday evening at her home. Survivors include her husband of 46 years: Kenneth Cox; two daughters: Kim Cox and Genia Gregg; a grandson: Aaron Gregg; her mother: Reba Bird; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Frances Bird, Mary Anna Bird and Michael Guastini; a brother and sister-in-law: Alonzo Jacob Bird II and Lori; nieces and nephews: Kelley and Danny Laird, AJ Bird III, Lexi Bird and Morgan Levenhagen; and special friends: Nancy Moore and her camping friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Alonzo Bird; and her mother-in-law: Minnie Cox. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service at Afton. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Jeffers Afton Chapel. Brother Donnie Brannen and George Kirkland will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton to go in procession to Andrew Johnson National Cemetery for a 2 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Gregg Downey, Dr. Patel, Dr. Roberts and Gary Jones.
