Riley "Uncle" Carter Obituary (2015) - Greeneville, Tennessee

NAME: Riley "Uncle" Carter, age 80, went to be with the Lord Thursday at his home. He attended church all his life as long as health permitted. He attended Greene County Skills since 1972. He was dearly loved by his caregivers and nurses from Greene County Skills. Everyone said he was the most gentle and kind man. He is survived by one sister Martha Carter of Greeneville, one brother Robert Carter of South Charleston, Ohio. A very special niece who was like a daughter Yvette Carter of Baileyton. Special friends Pam Biley and Brian Comber of Greeneville. He was preceeded in death by his parents George P. and Alice Odell Carter. One sister Dorthy Holt. Brothers: Jim Carter, Jake Carter and Billy Carter. 2 half brothers Edger Carter and Herbert Carter. 5 half sisters Nora Carter, Ruth Harmon, Bernice Vaughn, Nell Tinsley, and Mattie Stevens . A very special thanks to Greene County Skills and Amedisys Hospice for their care and such kindness.
