Sam Burnette, 73, of Mosheim, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at his home. He is survived by: companion of 37 years: Patsy Cook of Mosheim; 1 brother: James Jr. and Geraldine Burnette of Illinois; nephews an nieces: David Burnette and wife Sarah, Katherine Strissell and husband Robert, Jeffrey Burnette and wife Paula; 6 great nieces and great nephew;; 12 great-great nieces and nephews; special friends: Barbara Cook, Wesley Cook. He is preceded in death by: James Sr. and Lillian Burnette; nephew: James W. Burnette III. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12-3 PM at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service downtown. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM in the chapel downtown, with Rev. Richard Long officiating.
