Shelby Jean Ramsey Obituary (1942 - 2016)

Shelby Jean Ramsey, 73, of the Clear Spring Community, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at her home. She was born in Madison County, NC, and resided in Greene County, TN for most of her life. She loved gardening and enjoyed caring for dairy calves and her pets. Mrs. Ramsey is survived by her sons, Tommy Ramsey, Raymond Ramsey and his spouse, Robyn; daughters and their spouses, Tina Reed and Roger, all of the Clear Springs Community, Linda Seaton and Kendall, of Rheatown; grandchildren, Nicholas Pettit, Austin and Brianna Ramsey, Anna Lee Seaton, of Greene County, and Peyton Ramsey; one great grandchild, Samantha Pettit; two sisters, Jerlene Gunter and Genell King, of NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bulah Rice, Dollie Gunter Rice and her spouse, Thomas Ramsey; one brother, Carl Rice. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11am at Graceland Memorial Gardens, with Rev. David Reece officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50am. Pallbearers are Tommy Ramsey, Raymond Ramsey, Roger Reed, Kendall Seaton, Brad Reed, and Nicholas Pettit. Honorary pallbearers are Garry Tolley, Garath Rowlands.
