Thomas Bert Turnmire Obituary (1945 - 2017)

Thomas Bert Turnmire, 71, of Baileyton, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Life Care Center of Greeneville. He is survived by his sister, Betty and Albert Moles, of Greeneville; 3 nieces, Brenda and Johnny Myers, Trish McLain, and Susie and Lanny Jones; nephews, Brian and Misty Farris, Steve Reed, James Turnmire, Walter Turnmire; great niece and nephews: Brandy and James Mathes, Brandon Farris; special friends, Roy Crawford, Beth and JW Lamb, Dave and Joyce Harrison; special companion, Lucy the Dog; special thanks to the nurses and staff of Fresenuius Kidney Care of East Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Rose Turnmire; brothers, JW Turnmire, Jim Turnmire; sisters, Ivalee Peggy Hensley; sister in law, Helen Turnmire. He was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed his dogs. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4-7pm at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7pm, in Jeffers Chapel at Afton, with Rev. Roger Dykes officiating. The graveside service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 3pm at Milburnton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lanny Jones, Adam Luttrell, Matthew Page, JW Lamb, Joe Lamb, Al McLain, and Scott Jones. Thoughts and memories may be shared with the family at www.jeffersmortuary.com.
