Wayon Glen Yokley Obituary (2015)

NAME: Waylon Glen Yokley, 79, of Fall Branch, went home to be with the Lord April 30, 2015. He attended Pyburn Free will Baptist Church. He sang with The Journeymen Quartet and The Gospel Harmoneers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from AFG Industries, Blue Ridge Plant. PLACE OF DEATH: Takoma Regional Hospital FUNERAL: The body will lie in state at 4pm, 30 minutes, before the 4:30pm service Sunday at Pyburn Free Will Baptist Church MINISTER: The reverend Ronnie Baxter and Oscar McAmis will officiate. INTERMENT: Zion at Baileyton SURVIVORS: his wife Nancy "Peggy" Yokley 2 sons Darrell Yokley and wife Nettie, Chris Yokley and wife Diana, one daughter Vickie Wilson and Husband Larry all of Fall Branch. Grandchildren: Matthew Yokley and fiancé Katie Gilliam, Dylan Yokley, and Faith Yokley, Tonia Pritchard, Misty Turnmire and Leslie Kemp. Several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and special friends: Vickie Sharp and Kaylea Greenier. Sisters: Mildred McCamey and husband Luther and Phyllis Yokley. PRECEEDED IN DEATH BY: sister Joyce Pierce, mother Bonnie Yokley, dad Lamon Yokley and one infant sister, and 1 half-sister Lucille Kilday. PALLBEARERS: Terry Roberts, Cody Roberts, Frankie Rodgers, Terry Murray, Peyton Jackson, Dustin Rector, Raymond Perry. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Elijah Woods,Warren Pierce, Ricky Rodgers and all of the men of Pyburn Free Will Baptist Church. REMARKS: Special thanks to Dr. Daniel Lewis and Sylvia Boesch and all of the nursing staff on the 3rd floor at Takoma Hospital who went above and beyond to make him comfortable.
