Lloyd Manis,age 74, of Chuckey, passed away Takoma Regional Hospital Friday, January 15, 2010. The funeral service will be Sunday,January17, 2010, at 7:00 pm in the Jeffers Funeral Chapel with the Rev Jay Hugh Jennings officiating. Survivors include, 2 children: David Raymond and spouse Jeanne Manis of Greene County, Carla Jane Manis of North Carolina; 3 grandchildren: David Raymond Manis Jr.of Greene County, Cody Nelson Manis of Greene County, Anthony Valentine of Washington County; 3 great grandchildren: David Billy Manis, Jayden Ryan Manis, Kailey Serenity Manis; sister: Nora Shelton of Chuckey, Brother Walter Manis of Chuckey; niece and nephews Hugh Allen Manis, Vickie Manis both of Limestone, Betty Ann Jennings, Michael Jennings both of Greene County, Max Hensley of Rock Batter, Sharon Key Gunter of Chuckey, Patton Key of Greenville; several Great nieces and nephews: including one special great niece: Rikki Luttrell of Chuckey; special friends Jerry and Geneva Dockery, Doyle Crumley, Sherman Proffitt. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Hugh Gale Manis and Lucy Belle Manis; 1 Brother: Wyley Patton Manis; 1 sister Ruby Pearl Manis.Honorary Pallbearers will be Jareth Church, Junior Luttrell, Jerry Dockery, James Dockery, Doyle Crumley, and Teddy Carpenter.
Mr. Manis was a US Army Veteran. Mr. Manis's body will be cremated following the Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-7 at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
