Obituary:
Mr. Britton was a widely-known farmer and "loved the outdoors," his family noted. "He accepted the Lord as his Savior on Nov. 7, 2009," his family stated. Survivors include his companion of 20 years: Kathy Bernard; four sons and a daughter-in-law: Frankie Britton and Steve Britton, both of Baileyton, Lee Allen Britton of the Doty's Chapel community, and Raymond and Melissa Britton of the Newmansville community; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Phyllis Cole of Baileyton, Donna and Frankie McLain of Hawkins County, and Michelle and Mike Humbert of Afton; 12 grandchildren: Suzanne Starnes, Tracy Cole, Leslie Seaton, Valerie Belt, Staci Belt, Ashley Hensley, Katelin Britton, Sarah Humbert, Kassidi Britton, Jackson Britton, Kila Bernard, and Adam Bernard; 11 great-grandchildren; two special "stepsons": Adam Bernard and Dave Bernard; a brother: John Britton; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Dorothy Seaton and Linda and Harley Swatzell; and many special friends. He was a son of the late George and Lorraine Britton and was preceded in death by a great-grandson; a brother: Kyle Britton; and a sister: Anna Mae Byrd.
