Darby Jane Deyton Stills Obituary (1943 - 2018)

Darby Jane Deyton Stills, 74, of Chuckey, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Darby lived a life of service to others. She was a grandmother to all and left a lasting legacy on everyone she came in contact with. She was an avid cross stitcher. She had a love for gospel music. She was a huge supporter of Bless'd Ministries. Darby's passions in life were serving her Savior and supporting her family. She was a member of Greeneville First Free Will Baptist. You would never forget a woman like Darby Stills, a woman after God's own heart. She left her family and friends, and those who knew her with no question of where she is spending eternity. She is survived by: her children: Carmen Powell Potter of Afton, Tommy Powell and wife Lisa of Greeneville, Frank Powell of Clearwater, FL, Steven Powell and wife Jennifer of Cartersville, GA, Stephanie Powell McCarty and husband Steven of Powell, TN; father: Jack Murray of AL; sister: Karen Murray Cherni and husband David of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren: James and Mandie Potter of Kingsport, Miranda Potter of Afton, Kaleb Powell of Chuckey, Thomas Powell, Frankie, Savannah, and Nicholas Powell, all of Greeneville, Landon and Madison Powell, of Cartersville, GA, Breanna McCarty of Powell, TN, and Crystal Davies of Clearwater, FL; great grandchildren: Raeshawna and Raylene Potter of Afton, Dusty Necessary of Kingsport; special grandchildren: Chase and Sarah Murray, and Mark Laughlin; nieces: Cindy Deyton King, Lisa Deyton Emmette, Jennifer Leale, and Lauren Hawes; numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by: husband: Dale Stills; parents: Holbert Deyton and Beulah Deyton Murray; sister and brother-in-law: Carolyn and Wade Crum' two brothers: Bobby and David Deyton; son-in-law: Wayne Potter; nephew: Robin Deyton. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-8PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel Afton. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2PM in the Afton Chapel. Pastor David Gibbs and Mark Laughlin are officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Chase Murray, Thomas Powell, Frankie Powell, Landon Powell, James Potter, and Bill Banner. Honorary pallbearers are AKM of Tennessee staff and clients, and Chris Murray.
