Evia Shelton, 73, of Greeneville, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center. She is survived by her daughter: Ilena "Nina" Johnson (Glenn); son: Danny Broyles; granddaughter: Christina Stratton (Kevin); great-granddaughters: Julia and Adrianna; sister: Carolyn Hankins (Bobby); brother: Fred Shelton (Joyce); brothers-in-law: Joe Roberts of Limestone, and Jack Allen of Richmond, VA; special dog: Socrates; special caregivers: Rita Shelton, Marita Mosier, Ashley Huss and Dawn Bigelow; special friends, like family: Katrina and Yves Girard, and Todd Leal. She was preceded in death by her parents: Everett and Lena Shelton; daughter: Diana Bishop; sisters: Edith Roberts, and Billie Jo Allen; brothers: Thomas "Bunk" Shelton and Paul Shelton. She loved to read and draw. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She was full of love and always wanted to help others, that is why she wanted her body donated to science. Ms. Shelton was a devout Christian, and touched the hearts of everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 6PM at The House of the Lord Church, 50 Lord's Lane, Greeneville, TN.
