Jimmie Romell "Kat" Kesterson-White Obituary (1934 - 2019)

Jimmie Romell “Kat” Kesterson White age 84 of Greeneville, passed away on March 18, 2019 at Brookdale in Greeneville. She was a loving wife, mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Greeneville which she attended as long as her health permitted. She is survived by a daughter: Nancy Tolley, two sons and a daughter-in-law: Ray (Mary Beth) White and Terry White; five grandchildren: Brittany (Frank) Newcomb, Brooke White (Jonathan Burr, fiancé), Samantha White, Kelsie White, and Matthew White; great grandchildren: Tucker Newcomb and Taelynn Newcomb; two sisters: Anna Sue (Jerry) Harris and Loretta (Lowell) Easterly; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father: Rome Kesterson; mother and stepfather: Zora and Dock Elkins; husband: Donald J. White; sister: Margaret Kesterson; two brothers: Paul Elkins and GB Elkins; son-in-law: David Tolley; daughter: Cindy White; grandson: Daniel Tolley. The family extends a special thanks to: the staff at Brookdale Greeneville, the staff at Morning Pointe Greeneville, the staff of Amedisys, Dr. Charles Montgomery, caregivers, and special friend and caregiver: Christle Griffith. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2PM in the chapel downtown, with Dr. David Green and Rev. Joey Tillery officiating. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
