Juanita "Edith" Haney Obituary (1930 - 2018)

Juanita "Edith" Haney, 88 of Limestone, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her home. Edith was a charter member of Greenwood UM Church. Her passion was to farm with her family, and grow prize winning exhibits for the Greene County Fair since the fair began. She is survived by her son: Edwin Haney; daughter and son-in-law: Regina and Gary Nuckols; 2 granddaughters and their spouses: April and Jackie Tyree, III, Amanda and Jacob Hopson; great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Nuckols, Bo Tyree, Lolla Tyree; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Massey; several nieces and nephews; special friend: Maxine Laughlin. She was preceded in death by her husband: Don Haney; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. The family would like to express a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and Johnson City Medical Center Dr.s and staff for their care. The family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018 from 1-3PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Rick Ballard and Rev. Rick Clowers officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Scott Thompson, Hank Huff. Buddy Massey, Tim Massey, Darren Harrison, and James Adkins. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Broyles, David Burger, Bill Burger, Senior class of Greenwood UM Church.
