Rickey "Rick" Lee Johnson Obituary (1953 - 2019)

Rickey "Rick" Johnson, 65, of Chuckey, passed away on Wednesday January 30th, 2019 at his home. Rick was a Veteran of the US Army. He attended Dixon Chapel Church of God, and was a heavy equipment operator in construction for many years. He is survived by his wife Sharon Johnson; son, Randy Johnson; brother, Terry (Becky) Johnson; 3 sisters: Bitsy Heck of Rogersville, Norma Johnson, Frankie Johnson, both of Morristown; several nieces and nephews, including 3 special nieces: Mandi Caldwell, Tammy Greene, and Candice Pricenor; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including 5 special great-nieces and great-nephews: Khloe, Mason, Keanna, Kaisen, and Zander; mother-in-law: Barbara Arwood; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Debbie and Bobby Ottinger, and Randy Houston; special extended family who thought of him as a dad: Roger and Wendy Whaley, Savannah Gregg and her fiance: Mack Taylor; special companion: Chipper. He was preceded in death by: his parents: James and Edith Johnson; 3 brothers: Jack, James, and Jerry; 3 sisters: Bobbie, Ann, and Jen; father-in-law: Doyle Houston; step-father-in-law: Bobby Arwood. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2-4PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The Celebration of Life Service will follow visitation in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Steve Hux and Roger Whaley officiating.
