Cecil H. "Buddy" Roberts Obituary (1947

Cecil H. "Buddy" Roberts, 64, of Greeneville, passed away Monday at his home. "Buddy" and his wife, Sarah, have been the owners and operators of Greeneville Plumbing Service for more than 30 years. Survivors include his wife: Sarah Fellers Roberts; his children and their spouses: Craig and Beth Fellers of Greeneville and Tonya and Cheri Kintz-Roberts of Auburn, Ala.; his grandchildren: Ashlyn McDonald and husband, James, of New Braunfels, Texas, Austin, Kelsey, and Lucas Kintz-Roberts of Auburn, and Savannah Fellers, Elizabeth Blake, and Rebekah Blake of Greeneville; his mother: Emma Drayne Roberts; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and Raymond Love of Greeneville, Judy and Oscar Johnson of Afton, and Dianna and Mark Barrett of Greeneville; former daughter-in-law and family: Jeannie and Billy McCrary; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mae Swanner of Knoxville, Janice Young of New Braunfels, Tammy and Ronnie Maye of Bristol, Billy and Kathy Fellers of Chuckey, and Gail Carter and family of Stockbridge, Ga.; several nieces and nephews, who loved and adored their "Uncle Bud" and to whom he was a special uncle; his cousins; aunts: Anna Lee Fellers and Della Mae Jaynes; and extended family: Maxine Swanner and family, Bobby and Alice Hensley, Mike and Norma Painter and family, Bob Lucas, and Franklin Berger. He was a son of the late Cecil E. "Shortie" Roberts. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Lynn Mercer and Rick Parvin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lyman Seaton, Jim Bales, Danny Shelton, Gary Smith, Steve Young, Henry Susong, Bobby Drayne, Dave Heffernan, Doug Sarmento, and Robert Hogan. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Gregg, Larry Frances, his turkey hunting, deer hunting, and fishing friends, his friends at Hardees, the employees of Jefferson Sales, Greeneville Builders, Greene County Rental, and Roto Rooter, plumbers and electricians; Danny Gwynne, Roger Hale, Autry Johnson, Randy Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Jeff Kelley, Henry Lee, Rocky Luster, Leonard Ramey, Bill Ricker, Bruce King, Henry Wakefield, Donnie Arrington, Mike Arrington, James Hutton, Bobby Shipley, Bucky Craft, T.Z.
