Equay William Wilson Obituary (2011)

Mr. Wilson retired from Magnavox. Survivors include his wife: Geneva L. Wilson; three sons and daughters-in-law: Kennon E. and Debbie Wilson of Greeneville, Douglas A. and Louise Wilson of Knoxville, and Leland E. and Brenda Wilson of Greeneville; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister: Mazel Seaton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Maggie Wilson; a grandson: Gabrial "Gabe" Wilson; and two brothers: Lawrence and Bernard Wilson. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the downtown chapel of Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Stephen Aiken will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery Pallbearers will be Jason Craft, Jackie McCrary, Ray Parton, Tim Abshagen, Eric Wilson, and Trebor Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Joe Austin, Jimmy Waddell, Wayne Chapman, Blaine Shelton, Reece Ellenburg, and the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.
