Janice "Jan" Pass, 65, of Tusculum passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Takoma Regional Hospital. Jan is survived by: husband of 22 years whom was the love of her life: Jerry Pass; daughter and son-in-law: Tracie and Shawn Thompson; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Esther Benko, Jason and Gena Pass, Jeremy and Tammy Pass; grandchildren: Alec Thompson, Quindry Pass, Berkley Pass, Emery Pass, Lindy Pass, Colby Pass, Ethan Benko, Emma Benko; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Charlotte "Charlie" and Wayne Tipton, Peg and Danny Lavinder; brother and sister-in-law: Jerry and Barbara Tilson; several nieces and nephews; 2 special caregivers: Tracy Hartman, Beth Foster; 3 special friends: Karen Adams, Brenda Wallace, and Barbara Guinn; and Sunday School class at Towering Oaks Baptist Church. Jan is preceded in death by: Hobert and Mary Tilson; 2 brothers: Jackie Tilson, JD Tilson. Jan was a member of Towering Oaks Baptist Church. Jan retired from MECO after 35 years of service as an administrative assistant. Jan was the leader of MS Self Help Group in Greeneville and organizer of Greeneville's MS Walk. Jan was nationally recognized for her volunteer work with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Jan held many positions with International Administrative Assistant Professionals. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12-3 PM at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Afton. The funeral service will follow at 3 PM, with the Rev. Dennis Shumate officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Will Austin, Casey Botts, Jason Weems, Justin Weems, Shawn Thompson, and Rob Shelton. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Hammonds.
