JoAnne F Ward Obituary (2019)

JoAnne F. Ward, 82, of the Baileyton community, made her journey to Heaven on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Indian Path Hospital in Kingsport, surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by three brothers: Deed Pickering, "Bud" Pickering, and June Cooper; sister: Rosie Ferguson; two sons and spouses: Roger and Teresa Ward, Rickey Ward; two daughters and spouses: Dianne and Luther Malone, Judy and Stacey Johnson; one grandson: Chris Ward; two granddaughters and spouses: Jamie and Ryan Adams, Heather and Andrew Carter; six great grandchildren: Jessie and Clayton Ward, Eli and Adrianne Adams, Kaylie and Josie Carter; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends; special friend: Wilma Tweed. She is preceded in death by husband: Virgil Ward; parents: Robert Samuel (Bob) and Rosie Pickering; brothers: Uke, Frank, Moch, and Clarence Cooper; sisters: Tony Kistler and Maye Bolton. She attended Caney Creek Church. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Downtown. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1PM in the downtown chapel, with Rev. Eddie Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
