JOYCE JoANN HUMPREYS HOPSON Obituary (1933

Joyce JoAnn Humphreys Hopson, 85, of Afton, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 at Durham Hensley. She attended Fairview Church and participated in many activities in the church. She dearly loved her church family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Dennis Hopson; 2 children: Lisa & Vestel Tucker, Stuart & Rachel Hopson; grandchildren: Lance & Heather Reed, Ricky Showman, Travis Tucker, Roan Arrington, Sean, Trevor and Alena Hopson; great grandchildren: Travis, Andrew and Dakota Tucker, Brayson Reed; brother: Tom Humphreys; 4 sisters: Rosie Thompson, Deana “Dee” Robertson, Gail Thomas, and Judy Perrino. Special friend: Joyce Harrison. She is preceded in death by 2 children: Ed Hopson, Lana Reed; Parents: Orville & Addie “Looney” Humphreys; 1 brother: Layton “Buck” Humphreys. The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 @ Jeffers in Afton, from 1-2pm. The funeral will follow at 2 pm in the Afton Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Duncan and Rev. Tommy Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Durham Hensley.
