Mindy Nichole Greene, 37, of Chuckey, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center. \n \nMindy was employed as an assistant teacher at Small Miracles. Her passion has always been working with young children. Her kind nature and compassionate soul would just draw them to her and she deeply loved her Doodlebugs.\n \nMindy is survived by her son: Kole Garber; sister: Holly Tweed, both of the home. The absolute best aunts, uncles and cousins anyone could ask for and long-time best friends;\nSarah McQueen (Chuckey), Alicia Nieder (Greeneville),\nShane Trett (Greeneville).\n \nShe was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Elaine “Penny Greene”; paternal grandparents Rufus and Betty Greene; maternal grandparents Martin and Opal Norton; and lifetime partner, Aaron Garber. \n \nThe family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Johnson City Medical Center.\n \nThe family will receive friends Monday, May 27, 2019 at Jeffers Funeral Service in Afton from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Monday, at 7 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton, with Rev. Randy Masters officiating.
