Roy "Lynn/Bro" Lyndon Moncier Obituary (1954

Roy "Lynn/Bro" Lyndon Moncier, 64, of the Horse Creek Community, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Janice Jeffers Moncier; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: Mike and Brandi Crawford, of Greeneville, Josh and Shauna Crawford of Mosheim, Jamie Arrowood of Greene County; 13 grandchildren: Cahleb, Zac, Ethan, Eli, and Kyleigh Crawford, Cayden, Wynter, and Kourtni Stills, Jaylynn and Aleea Aiken, Ethan Turner, Damien Arrowood and Alexis Dixon; 3 great-grandchildren: Holden Crawford, Ayken Randolf, Kane Reaves; mother: Margaret J. Crum of Mosheim; brother: Tim Moncier; half-sister, Katrina Crum; 2 special brothers-in-law: David Jeffers, and Carlos Sosa; 3 nieces and a nephew: Wendy Bluen, Alane Shelton, Natalia and Chance Moncier; 5 cousins, whom he remained close with all of his life: Bobby Jack Brown, David Shelton, Pat Hipps, Pam Stanton, and his very special cousin: Paula Stanton; one aunt: Little Helen Shelton, whom he was honored to call his aunt; and very special friend that he thought of as his sister: Debbie Ottinger. He was preceded in death by his father: Billy Joe "Goober" Moncier. He retired due to being disabled in 2001, after almost 20 years as a forklift operator. Throughout the years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and traveling with family and friends, watching football, Nascar, and UT football. He loved his sons, and absolutely loved being a papaw and riding motorcycles as long as his health permitted. He was devoted to his canine babies: Bandit, Dupie, and Brandy, who will miss him terribly. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Amedisys Hospice staff for their loving care and understanding treatment: Michelle, AJ, Heather, Tiffany, Lisa, Angie, Crystal, Lisa, Victoria, and Cynthia. May God bless each of you for your dedication and kindness during the last leg of Lynn's journey. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer you make a donation to the Greeneville/Greene County Humane Society. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 4-6PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation at 6PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Paul Reagan officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
