William Edward "Bill" Alexander Obituary (1948

William "Bill" Alexander III, age 67, of Afton, passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at his home. He attended Greenwood UM Church, as long as his health permitted, and was retired from ABF Trucking. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sheila Alexander; two daughters, and one son in law, Christy and Tony Ward, and Jennifer Alexander Gibson; three grandchildren, Benjamin and Henry Ward, Abbye Grace Gibson; mother, Gaynell Alexander; half-brother, and sister in law, James and Jackie Alexander; special friends, Mike Albert, Eddie Lake, Bobby Green, Kathy Ridley, Lucille Renner, Sherry Holt, Angie Foster, Billie Styles, Jeanette Hixson, friends at the Greeneville Antique Market, Norma and Lewis Safriet, Richard and Sandra Jordan, Bill and Shirley Raper, Charleen Grossman, and all his brothers and sisters in Christ, from Greenwood Methodist Church, Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church, New Harvest Church, Notre Dame Catholic Church, and West End United Methodist Church, in Wytheville, VA. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Alexander, Jr. The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 2-4pm at Jeffers Funeral Service at Afton. There will be a celebration of life service, in Jeffers Afton Chapel, following visitation, at 4pm, with Pastor Richard Ballard officiating.
